Formed in 2018, Figure Factor is a darkwave and post-punk band from Austin, TX.

Drawing from a wide array of influences, the group writes songs that describe and reflect upon the sonic landscape of current dystopian nightmares, isolation from nature, the damage of socio-political inequality, and their favorite books, movies, anime, and video games.

Figure Factor performs cathartic and dynamic live shows that find band members dancing along to fever-pitch tempos and head-banging to gothic breakdowns while leaving plenty of room for shoegazing and contemplation in the space between crescendos. Note-worthy shows include supporting seminal French Coldwave group Trisomie 21, sharing the San La Muerte 2019 festival lineup with Pink Turns Blue, and supporting Washington D.C.’s beloved post-punk group Priests. The group recently put the finishing touches on their first full-length album and are set to begin releasing material from their album entitled Rituals in Transfigured Tone in July, 2021.
